Notice of appointment—Lawyer with the Insurance Law and Civil Litigation Group

Pierre Moreau, Bélanger Sauvé’s Managing Partner and member of the firm’s Executive Committee, is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Granosik as a lawyer with the firm’s Insurance Law and Civil Litigation Group.

Simon Granosik took up his new position on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in our Montréal office, after successfully completing the École du Barreau du Québec’s six months articling requirements, which he fulfilled at our firm.

Simon Granosik graduated in law from the Université du Sherbrooke. Before joining Bélanger Sauvé, he had already acquired professional experience in the legal field through various student internships. From May 2021 to August 2021, he held the position of a law student in the Compliance and Integrity Monitoring Division of AtkinsRéalis (formerly SNC-Lavalin). He was primarily responsible for reviewing and verifying the content of legal documentation as part of anti-corruption measures. He was also involved in formulating an integrity declaration questionnaire for partners.

Then, from May 2022 to August 2022, Mr. Granosik interned with the Aéroports de Montréal’s Human Capital team and provided support to the team in its negotiation of collective agreements and made recommendations on best practices in occupational health and safety.

During his university studies, Simon Granosik was also a member of the Université de Sherbrooke’s debating club and in 2021 participated in the inter-university debating cup organized by the Ligue de débat universitaire et collégiale.

We are delighted that he will be embarking on his legal career with our firm.
