Me Julien Meunier is a lawyer with the Montreal office’s Insurance and Civil Litigation Group.

Me Meunier has over 10 years’ litigation experience.  For the past five years, he worked as senior legal counsel for a major Quebec telecommunications company. During his tenure, his practice focused primarily on civil and commercial litigation, specifically in the area of media law and he provided expert and judicious advice to the company’s various entities regarding the risks and issues that could potentially affect the company’s interests.

In the course of his tenure as senior legal advisor, he contested publication bans, sealing orders and in camera proceedings before civil and criminal courts and disciplinary tribunals, and he defended the company in a number of defamation suits. He was also responsible for the in-house management of major cases and class actions, and for access to information requests received or made by the company, and for representing the company before the Commission d’accès à l’information and various appeal and review bodies.

Prior to that, from 2012 to 2018, he worked in private practice, where he handled  a high volume of varied civil and commercial litigation matters, specifically in the areas of civil liability, insurance law and construction law.

Me Julien Meunier has a law degree from Université Laval and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2011. He is also a graduate of HEC Montréal, an institution affiliated with the Université de Montréal, where he obtained a bachelor’s in business administration, with a major in management. He also studied business administration at Cleveland State University.
