Mtr. Denis joined Bélanger Sauvé in 2025. Her interest in municipal affairs dates back to her early studies in political science, which afforded her the opportunity to explore municipal governance issues related to the protection shorelines and lakes in the province of Quebec. Law then allowed her to explore a new facet of these same issues.
During her studies, Mtr. Denis worked at the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation (MAMH). This experience granted her a better understanding of the realities and issues specific regional contexts as well as urban contexts in municipal law and governance.
While completing her internship at Bélanger Sauvé, Mtr. Denis obtained her master’s degree in common law and transnational law with the submission of her research essay. She focused on the mitigation principle and its treatment by the Canadian common law in the context of personal injury and refusal of treatment.
