Eugénie Veilleux practices in all areas of municipal law and public law more broadly. She advocates for a personalized and creative approach in the cases she handles and is dedicated to her clients. She is passionate about advancing the law in relation to local issues, contributing directly to improving the quality of life in communities, from basic services to the protection of heritage and natural environments. She is interested in complex cases involving issues of public law, constitutional law, and governance.
With her experience in constitutional and Indigenous law, energy, and natural resources, Mtre Veilleux represents and advises municipalities, First Nations and environmental organizations, with a particular interest in land use planning, urban planning, energy supply, and development of communities located far from major urban centers.
Her first bachelor’s degree in international studies, completed between the University of Montreal and Chile, gave her a new perspective based on her skills in international and comparative law, and allowed her to develop professional language skills in Spanish. Outside the office, you will find her in the backcountry, on skis or with a backpack, exploring mountains, glaciers, and rivers, where she cultivates other passions, both intellectual and physical.
